Teachtoday was launched in 2008 as an EU initiative under the auspices of the former EU Commissioner Viviane Reding and implemented in many European countries by leading Internet, mobile and telecommunications companies in cooperation with the European Schoolnet (EUN). In April/May 2014, responsibility for the Teachtoday initiative went over to the Deutsche Telekom AG and has been carried on independently in its own name.
Teachtoday started in 2008 as a project from the European Union.
It was led by the former EU Commissioner Viviane Reding.
Many big internet, mobile, and phone companies in Europe worked on it with the European Schoolnet.
In April and May 2014, Deutsche Telekom AG took over Teachtoday.
