Safer Internet Day 2025
Safer Internet Day is celebrated in more than 180 countries and territories worldwide. These Telekom media literacy initiatives are also taking actions.

Czech Republic
Magenta Experience Center in Prague offers several events for the most vulnerable groups – children and the elderly. T-Mobile Czech also prepared ten rules for decent and safe online behaviour. Special content for social media is published on cybersecurity and no hate speech topics.

Poland
T-Mobile Poland’s national campaign “Pewni w sieci” (engl. Secured Online) focuses on internet safety and has been running since 2022. It aims to engage a broad audience, ensuring everyone, regardless of age or digital skills, can feel confident and secured online. The educational landing page offers articles, cybersecurity video course and an educational miniseries on diferent topics of media literacy.

Croatia
Hrvatski Telekom is taking action together with HAKOM – the Croatian regulatory agency - and will be presenting the initiative “Tools for Modern Time” at a conference. The initiative aims to provide children and young people with relevant knowledge and help them recognize potential risks, protect them, and make them aware of how to act responsibly online.

Germany
In Germany this year’s Safer Internet Day motto is “No likes for lies”. The media literacy initiative Teachtoday is focusing on youth and children and their behavior on sharing (mis)information online. Together with FSM, an online youth protection association, Teachtoday will be publishing an expert video interview, as well as video snippets for Social Media.

Magenta Telekom is using Safer Internet Day to draw attention to ConnectedKids. Magenta's initiative to promote media literacy in Austria's classrooms has been successfully implemented since 2013 and makes an important contribution to digital inclusion.

Hungarian Telekom hosted the 22nd Safer Internet Day by the International Children's Safety Service-Hungarian Association. Maria Mészégető, editor-in-chief of Telekom's Hello Parent platform, emphasized the potential of young people to share valuable knowledge.
